Sacramento Jaguar Club Board Meeting
February 17, 2024, First Quarterly Meeting
Site: Bike Dog Brewery, Sacramento
Meeting called to order at 2:16 PM
Present: President Linda von Merveldt, Treasurer Patrick von Merveldt, Secretary Rock Libby, Activities Director Steve Miesen and Membership Chair Mary Snyder. A quorum is present.
Treasurer's Report: Patrick reports a Bank balance of $2,511 as of 1/17/24. Monthly deposits were $1,396.46 and included eight renewal memberships. We had $510 paid out for our Web Person, Traci. Today we received $100 in membership dues from the Worras for a total balance of $2,611.
Secretary's Report: There were no Minutes to report since we failed to have a quorum for our 1/10/24 meeting.
Per Rock’s report to the Board members earlier in the month, the policy appears to include all the coverage he had hoped for and more. As expected, there is no Auto Liability coverage afforded although on the bright side, the General Liability limit of $5,000,000 is higher than imagined. In addition, Directors & Officers Liability is included with a limit of $1,000,000. All in all, this is very good news.
Membership Report/New Business: Mary reports that per our by-laws, dues are due January 1 of each year, a second notice is to go out by 2/1. In accordance with JCNA provisions, memberships will be terminated effective 4/1 if unpaid and member will be unable to participate in Club acivities.
Mary will make a note to access Excel Spreadsheet on the Club website, thus avoiding dissemination of members' physical addresses.
Activities Report: Steve provided the year's schedule of activities, adding an October “Oktoberfest” Potluck at the vonMerveldt home. More to come.
Old Business: President Linda obtained a bid to build a new Website at a cost of $400 and to engage a Web Administrator at a rate of $45/hour. She submitted this bid for the Board’s information only. No action was taken on this bid as she continues to research the matter of our Website.
Having no further business,
Meeting adjourned by Linda at 3:08 PM
Respectfully submitted,
Rock Libby, Secretary
